Salary Range: $68,000 - $78,000 per year
Are you passionate about storytelling, building relationships, and making an impact? Psicolor is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Public Relations Assistant. As a key member of our PR team, you'll have the opportunity to support the development and execution of strategic PR initiatives while contributing to the overall success of our clients' campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Media Relations: Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with media contacts, pitching stories, and securing coverage across print, broadcast, and online channels.
Content Creation: Collaborate with the PR team to create compelling press releases, media kits, and other written materials that effectively communicate key messages and enhance brand visibility.
Social Media Management: Support the management of social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and monitoring engagement, to amplify PR efforts and drive brand awareness.
Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating PR events, including press conferences, product launches, and media tours, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing media exposure.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor media coverage and social media mentions, compile coverage reports, and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and target audience demographics to inform PR strategies and messaging.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the PR team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating logistics for events and meetings.
Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on PR activities, progress reports, and recommendations for enhancing brand visibility and reputation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Previous experience in PR, communications, or related roles preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in social media management platforms and PR tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Hootsuite).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Creative thinker with a proactive attitude and a passion for storytelling and relationship-building.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and metrics.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of the advertising industry and Chicago media landscape is a plus.
