Brand Addition is Hiring an Account Manager - New Business Development Near St Louis, MO

Position Summary: We are looking for an individual who is energetic and wants to work in a fast-paced; ever changing environment! Someone to work as a member of the team, researching companies and contacts, making calls, responding to RFIs and RFPs, and preparing and delivering client presentations.

You will be actively involved in finding new prospects and working with new customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, 1-2 years’ experience in the promotional products industry, as well as skills related to strategic analysis and marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with our clients and wowing them with creative product ideas.

The right candidate will possess strong communication and written skills! Our ideal candidate will be resourceful enough to locate, call and market Brand Addition to potential new customers to begin the relationship development process. You will be working directly with the New Business Development Team both in the US and Europe to help grow our business! This person will exude energy, accountability, a strong sense of urgency and passion for building relationships!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ZoomInfo, LinkedIn and other social media sites to find new contacts that match our criteria.
  • Consistently add new opportunities to the pipeline and be able to report on it to the Leadership Team.
  • The ability to research customers in depth and become an expert of their business.
  • Manage our target list development and database maintenance.
  • Call, email and provide marketing to prospects. Your goal is to get them on the phone and confirm if they are the right person or contract holder.
  • Listen to customer’s needs and mapping Brand Addition’s business strengths to fit those needs – building relationships.
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Prepare and deliver client pitch presentations.
  • Meet with global team to discuss strategy for global tender responses.
  • Ability to source and price creative product to be included in RFP responses and client presentations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • College degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in a fast-paced business environment.
  • 1-2 years in the promotional products industry preferred, including promotional product and supplier knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative (team) environment.
  • Ability to hunt or make new contacts within a defined company base.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understand and calculate financial information such as margins, discounts, etc. to ensure profitable sales results.
  • Understand the negotiation and purchasing dynamics between client and Brand Addition, as well as third party suppliers.
  • Must be able to meet multiple deadlines in short time frames.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software.
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose solutions for clients.
