What you'll be doing:

• Establishes and coordinates the activities of the maintenance team to achieve the Customer Service, Quality, and Cost Savings goals of the team and Site.
• Understanding of a wide range of electrical and mechanical functions including but not limited to the following: PLC's, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, drives, electrical controls, etc.
• Works with other Supervisors, Manufacturing, Engineers and Operations Management to understand the critical needs of the internal and external customers that the team is servicing.
• Translates and communicates customer need to specific maintenance needs.
• Provides technical assistance to engineering, manufacturing, and vendors with respect to the creation and modification of parts, equipment, electronics and tooling.
• Recommend purchasing of capital equipment, supplies and tools for the department.
• Maintains departments compliance to OSHA and other regulatory standards as required.
• Determines when the need exists to send jobs outside of the company due to timeline considerations or maintenance constraints.
• Directly budgets and is responsible for financial results of the team.
• Helps lead and drive both the utilization of new technology and process innovation within the team.
• Works to develop the skills of team members, helps develop compelling development plans and executes them.
• Works with teams on failure analysis, corrective actions for noncompliance's and customer complaints, shares that information across team.
• Will directly requisition, interview and make hiring decisions regarding team members.
• Will seek to achieve department KPI's, including equipment reliability, uptime, pm completion, etc.
• Will complete all MOC, EHS and 5S action items as assigned within the agreed upon due dates.
• Creates strong morale, teamwork, and spirit with the team and across the team at the site.

What you'll need to be successful:

• BS in Engineering
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance, facilities, and/or manufacturing engineering experience
• Proficient in PLCs, drives, and electrical control systems
• Well versed in utilizing maintenance work order systems
• Immediately familiar with 5s programs and philosophies
• Experience in SAP, Maintenance Connection, Google suite and Microsoft Office
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Is able to prioritize in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrates the ability to apply advanced engineering principles and theories to increasingly complex problems, manufacturing systems and projects
• Solves complex issues where precedents may not exist
• Able to mentor other team members in similar disciplines
