Primary Responsibilities:

We are seeking a corporate accountant with strong general ledger and accounts payable skills to join our team. The corporate accountant ensures that accounting transactions are properly recorded, posted, processed, and reported.

As a Corporate Accountant your responsibilities include:

• Conduct monthly GL account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and identify errors as needed.
• Ensure daily positive pay files are submitted and successful.
• Manage Corporate American Express card program – ensure monthly payment is recorded, oversee the reconciliation process using Concur, post JEs and maintain record of delinquent account reconciliations and alert card holders and their managers.
• Assist with monthly distribution of legal invoices, work closely with manager to reconcile monthly and follow up on open items.
• Perform unclaimed property analysis.
• Collect payments, prepare, and enter deposits, post daily cash receipts.
• Generate monthly rebills two to three times per month, distribute via email, maintain rebill support files and documents.
• Utilize Concur – approve expense reports, communicate errors to end-users and resolve, pull bi-weekly extract file.
• Use Nexus – serve as admin on Nexus platform. Work with manager to resolve user issues in Nexus.
• Enter and post monthly journal entries to include but not limited to technology revenue and payroll
• Invoice processing to include overseeing the workflow process through payment using the automated AP System (Nexus), quality control.
• Review monthly FedEx billing and record billing allocation.
• Coordinate the annual personal property tax payments.
• Maintain all W-9 files.
• Manage the annual 1099 process for all corporate entities.
• Participate in annual audit
• Assist BDC/BHI with various monthly tasks to include but not limited to emergency check runs, annual letters, monthly draws preparation and document scanning.
• Process check runs for B&A affiliates
• Additional duties as assigned to support the success of corporate accounting.

What You Bring to Us:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in AP and AR, GL experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and strong analytical skills.
• Superior Excel skills
• Ability to be flexible, efficient and handle multiple tasks.
