- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models through benchmarking and process analysis. Verify reporting is accurate to the expectations of leaders and budget owners. This requires analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual results, performing variance analysis to budget and prior periods, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Budget & Forecasting: Budget annually and forecast quarterly the profitability of each business unit, considering revenue streams, cost structures, and competitor dynamics.
- Cost Projections: Prepare detailed cost projections, analyzing expenses related to franchise operations, owned and operated clubs and corporate expense categories. Own all expense categories for the owned and operated clubs, including labor modeling, market spend and G&A expense, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for enhanced expense efficiencies.
- Club Level Financial Review: Gather and analyze the financial health of franchisee and corporate owned locations to assist with acquisitions, renewals, closures, openings and resales.
- Retail Purchasing & Forecasting: Own the gross margin forecasting for a variety of retail and merchandise product SKUs, including sell through rates, purchase scheduling and cost analysis. Develop retail pricing recommendations for the owned and operated clubs.
- Data Accuracy: Review accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Policies: Establish and maintain financial policies that align with business objectives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in financial, business analysis or accounting.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, being comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced experience in Excel formulas, including familiarity with Index, Matching, concatenation, look-ups and pivot tables. Experience in power pivots and Power Bi is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities to present financial data using detailed reports and charts with variance analysis.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrable strategic thinking skills to contribute to long-term financial planning.
