The job does require this position to obtain a Jailer's License as required by TCOLE to assist as needed in performing the job duties of a Jailer.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid Driver's License (No ID card will be accepted in lieu of a DL), Birth Certificate, Social Security Card and HS diploma or transcript to being to the interview.
• Must be able to pass medical, psychological and drug testing.
• Must not have any convictions of any jailable offenses.
• Must obtain TCOLE jailer's license within a year of employment.
• Must be knowledeable in the use of industrial kitchen equipment.

Examples of Job Duties:

• Must cook in large quantities using industrial kitchen equipment.
• Maintains a continuous count of inmates assigned to the kitchen.
• Maintains a current inventory of all tools, equipment and supplies assigned to the kitchen.
• Ensure the work site is clean, safe and kept in compliance with jail standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
