SYSTEMS ENGINEER (MBSE) (E30-2023-19687):
Bowhead seeks a DoD SECRET cleared Systems Engineer with Model-Based Systems Engineering experience to join our team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) on the MK 160 Gun Computer System and Naval Fires Control Systems. The position is fully funded and in the second year of a five-year contract.
Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide input/support in the requirements validation, operational conceptualization, and developmental testing
- Work within Model Based Systems Engineering pricipals using the Cameo Systems Modeler tool
- Develop alternatives to understand impacts to the architecture
- This position supports integration testing and the verification and validation of software releases
- Integrate with other engineers to find optimal software solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
- Three (3) to five (5) years professional technical experience with familiarity of Naval Weapon Systems
- Possesses a robust knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodology and the Cameo Systems Modeler tool
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
