Strong candidates for this position should possess
Three to five years of experience in public accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and tax laws
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information
QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Microsoft Office in particular Excel and Word, CCH ProSystem fx or Axcess Tax
Strong interpersonal skills, including the capability to effectively present information and respond to client needs
Hold a CPA or EA license or be working towards accreditation.
As an integral part of our professional staff, you will
Review and perform account analysis and reconciliations
Review, oversee, and/or perform general ledger year-end closing processes
Summarize and prepare financial reports, including balance sheet and profit and loss statements
Research accounting and tax matters in order to summarize results and propose resolutions
Respond to client accounting inquiries and tax notices
Demonstrate sound judgment and analyze problems logically and comprehensively
Work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
Handle sensitive/confidential matters in a tactful and discreet manner
Develop and sustain strong client relationships.
