User Experience Designer

The Opportunity:

You know that a good application, website, or product is more than just the code, infrastructure, and a nice-looking interface – it’s the way it addresses a user’s needs. As an experience designer, you put yourself in the user’s place and design the best way for them to engage with thedigital resources and applications such as SharePoint, Jira/Confluence, PowerBi, Adobe Creative Cloud, and more. We’re looking for someone creative like you to work with a team of a wide variety of stakeholders with diverse needs to craft the ultimate UX. In this role, you’ll work closely with the lead on your team to understand your clients’ vision and their users needs. Working on an agile team, you’ll build skills in designing large-scale digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are aesthetically pleasing.

You’ll be involved with the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interface design, and front-end development. You’ll advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements, all the while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have:

  • Experience with the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, visual layout, interaction design, and usability testing

  • Ability to elicit business, functional, and customer requirements to design backend microservices and process workflows

  • Ability to work with business lines and stakeholders to recognize their needs and translate the needs to development teams

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree orHS diploma or GED and 6 years of experience with UX analysis and design in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with designing or coding responsive digital platforms

  • Experience with front-end development, 3D art, data visualization, and graphic design principles

  • Knowledge of UX strategy, content strategy, product management, service design, and UX copywriting

  • Ability to work independently, collaborate with peers, and present to stakeholders

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
