Budget and Financial Analyst, Junior

That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can learn to navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding to make sure critical efforts aligned to Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and other Research and Development (R&D) related analytical services are appropriately resourced to achieve our client’s mission requirements and make the greatest impact supporting National Security.

As a financial analyst on our team, you’ll study the creation of a financial management strategy to help enhance the ability of Industrial Base Policy (IBP) to strengthen and maintain a Defense Industrial Base (DIB) that is able to meet warfighter’s needs. You’ll help the team to develop cost models and conduct budget analysis to inform solution development or analysis of alternatives.

You’ll assist a team using laws, regulations, and policies to help the client develop well-formed requirements. Once the funding is in place, you’ll make sure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with project and government leadership. You Have:

• Experience developing cost models and conducting budget analysis to inform solution development or analyses of alternatives

• Experience with estimating and auditing production costs, investigating financial result variances, and developing forecasts and reports

• Knowledge of tools leveraged to conduct financial analysis, present findings, and track financial performance data, including Microsoft Excel

• Ability to learn in a fast paced and dynamic environment

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or Economics

Nice If You Have:

• Experience supporting Department of Defense clients

• Experience with Data Visualization tools and suites, including Tableau

• Knowledge of Department of Defense Financial regulations

• Ability to be a self-starter and provide input to high-quality deliverables with minimal direct oversight

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $41,200.00 to $84,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
