Accounts Receivable Specialist

Key Role:

Implement project setup operations in Deltek Costpoint and Integrify to maximize effectiveness and accuracy. Audit the accuracy of contractual information entered in the system and monitor the operation of the financial systems. Develop solutions to project setup issues and work with systems design to implement new features. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Network with senior internal personnel in own area of expertise. Receive little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments. Collaborate with client teams, contracts, and internal financial staff to identify and work through complex challenges and provide creative solutions. Work through others to optimize results against predetermined targets, and shift priorities to meet department and firm monthly and quarterly targets. Setup new projects and billing terms in accounting system per contract and per information provided by Contracts and Project Manager. Review and advise on new project setup requests, verify all required project information and is available and follow-up on missing information, and communicate project setup status to Project Managers. Update Costpoint with any contract, client, and project modifications. Enter and maintain data necessary for the contract backlog report. Support Contracts and Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to project accounting. Participate in project kick-off meetings. Maintain project setup email box, meeting the company’s SLA. Leverage expertise of Government project types, such as T&M, FFP, or CPFF. Collaborate with internal customers to recommend proper project setup to ensure accurate revenue recognition, billing, and cost reporting requirements are met. Set-up projects with different contract types, including Cost-Plus, T&M, and Fixed-Price, and proper billing and revenue terms. Ensure that project set-ups and modifications are entered into Deltek Costpoint in accordance with internal SOX policies and procedures. Maintain Deltek Costpoint project information, such as contract and funding values, period of performance, line of business, or project labor categories. Interact with other departments, such as Contracts, Pricing, Accounting, Project Management, and Business Unit Leads regarding project related issues. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with accounts receivable processing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to apply job expertise learned independently to ensure contract and compliance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in a government contracting environment
  • Knowledge of the Deltek Costpoint projects module
  • Knowledge of accounting
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $42,600.00 to $87,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
