FORKLIFT OPERATOR
REPORTS TO: SHIFT MANAGER
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

Our Forklift Operator is responsible for pulling product from weekly distribution requests using a Sit down Forklift or Order Picker. Other duties may include but not limited to, shipping and receiving, light computer work, the use of DC equipment and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pulls product for all weekly distributions to stores.
  • Prepares and stages orders for shipping.
  • Operates powered industrial forklift/order picker to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
  • Ensures proper paperwork is completed before product is sent out to stores or events.
  • Back stocks all incoming freight to respective bin locations.
  • Assists with receiving incoming freight, new store/event receiving and tagging.
  • Unload/load trucks.
  • Monitors equipment and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
  • Responsible for reporting any issues related to the forklift equipment to direct supervisor/manager.
  • Load/unload trucks when needed.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance, appearance and high degree of professionalism in communication and attitude with customers, teammates, corporate partners and vendors.
  • Adhere to all local, federal, and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices. These may include but are not limited to complying with the Company's Time & Attendance policy and procedures and partnering with management to sustain workplace health and safety requirements according to OSHA regulations and the Company safety guidelines.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.
Requirements:
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of work experience, preferably in a Distribution Center environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift or order picker; valid forklift certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in general DC procedures (including shipping and receiving/order picking).
  • Ability to operate all DC equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, order picker, etc.
  • Proficiency with inventory/database programs and POS System knowledge preferred, APTOS a plus.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management System experience a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts to meet the needs of the business.
  • Strong communication (verbally & in writing), customer service, time management and organizational skills.

PAY RANGE: $20.00-21.33

Physical Demands

  • Required to lift, move and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation and reports.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms.
