BOOM OVERVIEW:

BOOM Ventures is an independent, brand engagement agency working within the sports, entertainment, retail, and lifestyle marketing industries. Our services include experience design, special event production (B2B, B2C / IRL & Virtual), sports & entertainment consulting, research & data, retail marketing, digital, content production, influencer marketing, and hospitality.

With corporate headquarters in Northern New Jersey, BOOM has experienced significant growth over the past few years and is looking to scale our internal resources to manage both existing and new clients.

This position is a remote working dynamic with local or long-distance travel involved for program execution. BOOM is looking for Producers to work on a contract/freelance basis who reside and have a history of working in the following key markets:

  • Long Island/NJ/Philadelphia
  • DMV (DC, MD, VA)
  • Chicago
  • Southern Calif (LA, SD), Northern Calif (Sacramento)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Title: Producer

Position Overview: We are seeking event producers (contract/freelance position) to lead our various event activations in key markets across the country for a Fortune 100 Company. As a lead Producer, you will be responsible for providing pre, on-site and post-event production leadership/execution involving event and retail store openings. The role involves managing a team of Field Marketing Managers, Production Assistants and Brand Ambassadors on a program-by-program basis. The Producer will report directly to the Sr. Producer/s and work collaboratively with various departments (Client Services, Creative, etc.) within BOOM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Producer will play a lead/pivotal role in pre, on-site, and post-event execution of retail store openings and community/field events.
  • Work closely with Sr. Producers to produce experiential events, ensuring the seamless delivery of client objectives.
  • Assist in the creation of, deployment, and management of the Production Schedules for each program.
  • Assist in the creation of, deployment, and management of the Run-of-Show for each program, collaborating across departments and management of on-site teams to meet deliverable deadlines for multiple programs.
  • Generate comprehensive production documentation throughout the entire program lifecycle, including work-back schedules, metric reporting, expense reports, etc.
  • Track all client KPIs, such as sampling, foot traffic, and others as needed according to the objectives set by the client.
  • Devise staffing plans that enable success across build, logistics, and marketing facets, optimizing team dynamics for outstanding execution.
  • Budget Management ensuring success and profitability.
  • Manage the installation of custom displays and event assets/elements.
  • Effectively coordinate and manage venues, on-site vendors, local municipalities, security, etc to ensure quality control.
  • Mentor and delegate tasks to junior production staff, including associate producers and coordinators.
  • Serve as the on-site leader/producer, directing all crew members to ensure timely and efficient task completion.
  • Oversight of consumer experience ensuring seamless guest experience.
  • Oversight of safety (staff, guests, etc) and site management in entirety.
  • Liaise with client and invited guests, staff, VIPs as appropriate and requested by client/Sr. Producer.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2-3 years producing experiential marketing programs (B2C & B2B) and working within an experiential marketing agency dynamic.
  • Excellent people skills with an ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Experience in managing onsite teams including Brand Ambassadors, Production Assistants, Vendors, Venues, etc. (teams of 1-15 people)
  • Ability to drive a box truck.
  • Physical labor of lifting events assets/elements (from/to trucks, in storage, at events, etc.) is part of the responsibility.
  • Must be well-organized, strategic, consultative, have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours (weekdays & weekends)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Docs, Keynote
  • Not a mandate but working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or CAD/Sketch-up is a plus.
  • Organized and attention to detail a mandate.
  • Ability to think quickly and make informed decisions.
  • Team player, positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

OPPORTUNITY SPECIFICS:

  • Start Date: Start date is fluid and dependent on program needs; looking for candidates who can start working as early as June 2024 and be flexible with their schedules to work on an event-by-event basis.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience and industry standards.
