Sushi Chef
Duties:
- Prepare and create a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi preparation area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations
- Assist with menu planning and development of new sushi dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
Skills:
- Experience working as a sushi chef or in a similar role in the food industry
- Proficient in sushi preparation techniques, including cutting, rolling, and plating
- Knowledge of different types of fish and seafood used in sushi dishes
- Ability to handle and prepare raw fish safely and hygienically
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in sushi presentation
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
