Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. The Project Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, ensuring that bids are competitive and profitable. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, project management, and cost control.
Duties:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers,and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Square Takeoff to create detailed estimates
- Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing for materials and services
- Review change orders and provide updated cost estimates
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Proficiency in construction estimating softwaresuch as Square Takeoff
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents
- Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
