Boeing is Hiring a System Administrator 3 Near St. Louis, MO
Performs system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems. Provides support for the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems. Administers users system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements. Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning.
Required:
- Security certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- 3 years of experience with performing system administration tasks on Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
- 3 years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher
Preferred:
- 5 years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher
- 5 years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Windows 7 or higher
- Packaging and updating the base Linux operating systems installations
- Strong Knowledge of Kickstart Scripts
- Strong Knowledge of Bash (specific)
- 3 or more years’ experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher
- Packaging and updating the base Linux operating systems installations
- Creating configuration modules in puppet, Ansible and making shell scripts
- Work with other teams to define the standard practices and the technology stack used to support our customers.
- Manage the execution of break/fix requests and larger long term projects to improve the technology stack.
- Installation and integration of Windows and Linux operating systems and related COTS products.
- Develop and manage the workflow tools and respective metrics to ensure the delivery of services and team development.
- Evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution.
- Integrate security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
- Administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements.
