As Bodega Taqueria y Tequila continues to expand its national footprint, we are looking for experienced Server(s) to join a growing brand and an incredible team!

Offering traditional Mexican favorites as well as unconventional and innovative interpretations, Bodega specializes in tacos and tequila in a dynamic, eclectic puebla inspired setting. Disguised behind a meat locker door, the no-name speakeasy behind Bodega comes alive at night, serving up the best cocktails in an environment that brings the fabric of the community together artists and musicians, locals and travelers alike for late night conversation, performances and fun.

As a Server you will serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage service to all guests and ensure the guest has the optimal experience while visiting your location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Bottle Service:

Provide personalized bottle service to VIP guests, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

Present bottle options, make recommendations, and guide guests in their selection process.

Prepare and deliver bottle service setups, including mixers, garnishes, and appropriate glassware.

Pour and serve drinks in a professional and engaging manner.

Monitor bottle inventory, restock as needed, and ensure accurate billing and tracking of bottle service orders.

Food and Beverage Service:
Greet and seat guests, presenting menus and taking orders for food and beverages.

Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, drinks, and specialty beverages.

Deliver food orders promptly and ensure accurate order fulfillment.

Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions.

Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of tables, bar area, and lounge sections.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests.

Engage with guests, build rapport, and anticipate their needs to deliver personalized experiences.

Respond to inquiries, resolve complaints, and address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of the lounge's offerings, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to guests.

Upselling and Promotion:

Actively promote and upsell bottle service packages, special promotions, and featured menu items.

Encourage guests to participate in events, activities, or special performances taking place in the lounge.

Collaborate with the marketing and events team to assist in the coordination and execution of special events.

Cleanliness and Compliance:

Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service guidelines and age verification procedures.

Follow proper cash handling procedures and accurately process guest payments.

Assist in the setup and breakdown of the lounge area, including tables, seating, and bar stations.

Qualifications

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Previous experience as a server or in a hospitality role, preferably in a beverage-centric hospitality environment.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails and mixology.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Basic math skills for cash handling and billing.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

TIPS or equivalent certification for responsible alcohol service (or willingness to obtain it).

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must possess basic computational ability.

Must have knowledge of and be able to operate all equipment related to the outlet.

Must have a strong knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards.
