JOB SUMMARY:

This employee will perform routine preventative maintenance per a set schedule as well as respond to unscheduled repairs in a safe and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support, installation, rebuilding, and maintenance of all production equipment such as baking ovens, conveyor systems, and a variety of packaging and support equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance per a set schedule as well as respond to unscheduled repairs in a safe and timely manner
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be highly motivated, able to follow direction, and perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to speak, listen, and openly communicate with team members
• Able to read, understand, and strictly follow written procedures for multiple controlled processes
• Good understanding of and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP)
• Must be organized and maintain work area
• Able to identify areas that need attention and either address or report as necessary
• Must be able to accurately take instructions and keep records
• This position involves regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
• Required to stand on their feet and/ or walk up to 12 hours per day
• Must be able to regularly; lift up to 100#, have full use of arms and legs and climb stairs to access all areas of the plant and offices
• Must be able to detect audible tones and alarms
• Must maintain a high degree of forklift operation skills
• Must have sufficient hand tools required to perform duties of the Production Maintenance Technician (company provides all specialized and consumable tools/equipment)
• Must be able to work all shifts in a seven day a week rotation
• Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, including expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of three years' experience in a related field or comparable education
• Must demonstrate a good Electro-Mechanical aptitude and have a work history showing multitasking ability
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Welding experience a plus
• PLC experience a plus
• Must have demonstrated good work habits and attendance
