Maintenance Assistant Job Profile

As Maintenance Assistant, you will assist the Maintenance Director with maintaining and restoring the community’s equipment, structure, operating systems, grounds, while they take pride in providing friendly and passionate services for our residents. Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Performing daily walkthrough of the facility, addressing any malfunctions for prompt repair
• Ensuring prompt skilled attention to maintenance problems and assigned service requests
• Troubleshooting numerous pieces of equipment as needed
• Assisting in maintaining expenses for parts and reviewing all costs with Maintenance Director before making purchases
• Assisting with coordinating preventative maintenance based on specific schedule
• Assisting with maintaining important records, data, and paperwork
• Providing amazing customer service daily
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director.

Maintenance Assistant Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as Maintenance Tech, preferably in an apartment or multifamily capacity.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
• Capability of using various chemicals safely
• Ability to move quickly, safely, and remain calm in case of an emergency
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
