Bode Equipment Company is a turn-key distributor of material handling systems, construction, and loading dock/door solutions. Since 1975, we have offered design, layout, sales, installation, and service. Over the years, we have increased our installation and service capabilities throughout New England. This is one of the many unique capabilities of our firm while others use subcontractors.

Headquartered in Londonderry, NH and having a branch location in Marlborough, Massachusetts, we are well positioned to service our clients throughout the region. Both locations have sales and service personnel, and everyone is cross trained to ensure that our clients receive the best service possible.

Career Opportunity: Outside Industrial Sales and New Business Development

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities and revenue from both prospects (cold calling) and outreach to existing customer base.
  • Increase revenue through upsell and cross sell opportunities in the established account base.
  • Make sales calls to qualify prospects. Involvement in information gathering efforts and/or tracking and follow-up of leads and inquiries.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service by supporting customers in their overall experience.
  • Achieve sales targets through independent outbound prospecting activity in addition to opportunity building skills that uncover business value for the customer.
  • Expand the current, established customer base in a territory.
  • Practice sound judgment and discretion with company's best interest always in mind.
  • Implement sales strategies by working with sales management and marketing team members
  • Quoting, creating sales order and purchase orders, and entering and updating contacts in database.

Qualifications:

  • College degree, preferably in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Outside Sales, 1-3 years (preferably industrial or mechanical).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities, strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Consistent track record of achieving sales targets through independent and outbound prospecting activity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to travel.

Skills:

  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional customer service with pleasant and professional communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Organized, detail oriented, and comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Have the ability to work in a team as well as independently and to interact with many different personality types.
  • Demonstrate an overall sense of urgency to get the job done
  • Proven and stellar follow-through skills
  • Solid Closing capabilities and a strong focus on results

Compensation and Benefits:

Bode Equipment Company offers a complete benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as a retirement plan, 10 paid holidays, and paid time off package. Healthcare begins on the first day of employment.

Base salary, bonus structure, car allowance, telephone allowance.
