Job Description:
We're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen team as a Prep Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking food items, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes
- Cooking syrups, jams, and food items following established cooking methods and recipes
- Assisting in food assembly and packaging
- Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Following food safety guidelines and protocols
- Monitoring food stock levels and placing orders as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or prep cook in a kitchen environment preferred
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of cooking methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Food Handler Certification, ServSafe is a plus
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
