Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Department: Inventory Control

Location: On-Site

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Wage: Starts at a base of $21.00/Hr.

Position Overview: The Inventory Control Specialist I is responsible for maintaining accurate information on inventory levels throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs cycle count inventory.
• Reconciles inventory discrepancies when discovered.
• Works with department managers to maintain accurate inventory information.
• Responsible for directing the flow of damaged merchandise.
• Works with internal and external resources to prepare and distribute products for donations.
• Proficient in all functions within the Inventory Control department and serves as back-up for other positions.
• Maintains Quality Issues Database and works closely with other departments to facilitate issue resolution.
• Performs month-end analysis of large-scale inventory adjustments.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
• Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position reports to the Materials & Logistics Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Possesses good communication skills both written and orally.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools for machine set up and operation.
• Ability to work well individually and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be flexible and respond to department needs as they arise.
• Possesses a working knowledge of computers and programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• The position requires the ability to learn and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of production schedules within this company.
• 1-3 years of previous experience in the food packaging industry and/or experience as a production machine operator and inventory, or similar duties preferred.
• Experience in Macola and/or Agility is preferred.
• Forklift certified preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Position may require standing for long periods.
• Position requires the ability to work at a fast pace in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

• The primary work environment for this position is within the production department. There are no adverse conditions associated with this position.
• Use of personal protective equipment such as earplugs and hairnets is mandatory and the use of non-slip shoes is recommended.
