Craft Culture , a new restaurant nestled inside the vibrant atmosphere of 1623 Brewing Co., is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the General Manager. Rooted in our commitment to community, innovation, and exceptional service, Craft Culture offers a unique dining experience that celebrates social connections, culinary exploration, and playful engagement.
Vision Statement:
We are a family-run local brewery seeking to cultivate a community of casual diners and die-hard foodies. Having teamed up with the Liberatore family, well known for their Italian Ristorante and neighborhood raw bars, we've created a restaurant perfect for dining for date night or with a large group of friends. Our guests will find that we do things differently - no strict courses here! We embrace the art of sharing with our shared plates and tapas-style food items. It's all about mixing, matching, and enjoying culinary adventure at their own pace. We're not only about brews and bites...we're about the good times. Catch any game on the big screen, expand your beer palate, sip on one of our new line-up of signature craft cocktails or enjoy a taste from our new wine selection.
Our cocktail program has been carefully crafted to intensify the natural flavors and a playful manner. Our bar is not equipped with call drinks, but let's be honest....why would you ask for that when you're here? Our head brewer, Matt Evans, is a foodie at heart and has always wanted to make the taproom a full service experience. He has been brewing award-winning beers and seltzers for over 5 years and now every night will be a beer pairing.

Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership: Lead by example and nurture a positive working environment that fosters personal and professional growth for team members.
  2. Operational Management: Oversee scheduling for both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (HOH) staff to meet labor goals. Manage inventory and ordering for beer, wine, liquor, dry goods, paper products, chemicals, and food products to meet prime cost goals.
  3. Guest Experience: Ensure the delivery of superior guest experiences through the application of the steps of service and pillars of success. Respond efficiently to guest questions and complaints to find "win-win" resolutions.
  4. Process Improvement: Streamline restaurant processes to improve the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.
  5. Policy Enforcement: Enforce food handling regulations, policies, and procedures outlined in the handbook to increase guest safety and satisfaction.
  6. Menu Planning: Assist in planning and developing new and updated menus, as well as guest loyalty programs specific to location.
  7. Performance Management: Train, evaluate, and coach staff performance, delivering constructive criticism and support on a daily basis.
  8. Financial Management: Develop and execute actionable plans to meet and exceed the financial goals of the restaurant. Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions to improve productivity and sales.
Requirements:
  • Industry experience of at least 5 years in FOH roles, with management or leadership experience of at least 2 years in a full-service restaurant.
  • Strong understanding of costing and labor systems leading to restaurant profitability.
  • Ability to work 8-14 hour shifts and be hands-on in any FOH position when needed.
  • Operational knowledge of Google Workspace, basic cash management, bookkeeping skills, and understanding of project management tools and principles.
  • Strong communication skills with both team members and guests.
