Customer Service Representative (Automotive)

As a customer service representative in the automotive industry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Your responsibilities involve a dynamic blend of customer interaction, efficient scheduling, and collaboration with automotive technicians and service writers. 
Hours: Monday-Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
  • Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and confirm service appointments.
  • Phone Handling: Answer incoming calls promptly, addressing customer inquiries, providing information on services, and directing the calls to the appropriate department.
  • Emission Testing: Conduct emission testing procedures in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. 
  • Vehicle Check-in: Coordinate the smooth flow of vehicles entering the service area, accurately recording customer information, service requirements, and assigning appropriate service bays.
  • Billing and Payments: Process service transactions, generate invoices, and handle customer payments efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the service waiting area, creating a welcoming environment for customers. 
  • Other general office duties and support. 
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive service processes and emission testing.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Familiarity with computer systems for scheduling and transaction processing.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. 
  • A good driving record, a valid driver’s license.
  • At least 21 years old (for insurance purposes).
