What you will be doing :

• Maintain a neat and orderly lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the company needs.
• Operate Yard Truck to maneuver and park large oversized loads.
• Must be flexible and available to take deliveries out as needed.
• Responsible for accounting for records involving container numbers.
• Must function and interact daily with plant personnel and comply with safety requirements.
• Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch, operations, and personnel.
• To move trailers in and out of bays, inspect new deliveries and provide support where needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and practice safe work habits per company policies.
• Wear and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Operate 10-speed manual tractor with 53' van trailer on various roads and highways throughout designated Regions.
• Deliveries from distribution center to stores and depots throughout the region.
• With 100% drop & hook runs and driving that is done at night when there is less traffic, spend most of your night actually on the road driving!
• Maintain compliance with ELD, vehicle condition reports, and all other aspects of DOT compliance. Keep updated on current DOT rules and regulations.

• Valid Class A CDL License
• A clean driving record with no major accidents and no alcohol or drug convictions.
• Prior yard jockey experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year all weather driving is required
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
