General Summary :
Serves beverages to guests asregulated by state and federal age requirements while providing superior guestservice.
Principal Responsibilities :
•Contributes to anatmosphere of welcome and warmth generated by a sincere concern for each guestssatisfaction.
•Welcome guests,take their orders, ring orders into POS system, deliver drinks to guest andreceive payment for the order. Have afull knowledge of entire menu. Monitors barand assigned section ensuring all guests are served.
•Mixes ingredientssuch as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and otherdrinks. Serves wine and beer.
Job Duties:
•Customer Service - Responds promptly tocustomer needs, requests for service and assistance. Respond to special requests from guests. Monitors tables in assigned section of barensuring all guests are served.
•Team Work - Treats people with respect. Keeps commitments. Upholds organizational values. Approach all encounters with guests andemployees in a friendly service-oriented manner. Stocks glass, liquor, beer and wine as wellas condiments served in drinks. Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzel and nuts.
•Quality - Demonstrates accuracy andthoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality. Maintains cleanliness standards, completesside work as assigned. Removes empty ordirty glasses and bottles, disposes properly of bottles and washes glasses inglass washer.
•Quantity - Meets productivity standards andcompletes work within a timely manner.
•Safety and Security - Observes safety andsecurity procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses chemicals andequipment properly. Responsible for anyassigned keys and for following key control policies. In accordance with liquor laws monitorsguests for intoxication and reports such findings to managementimmediately.
•Dependability - Is consistently at work and ontime. Arrives at scheduled meetings andappointments on time. Is able to meetthe demands of the industry with regard to working holidays and weekends.
•Initiative - Volunteers readily. Asks for and offers help when needed. Clears bar, resets counters and tables. Before leaving makes sure that the area ofthe bar is thoroughly cleaned including but not limited to counters, sinks,cups, glasses, bar mesh for counters, shakers, stirrers, etc.
•Compliance - Processes cash and credit cardpayments consistent with standard cash handling procedures. Ensures tips are reported properly for taxprocessing. Completes bar inventory logand maintains proper liquor controls according to company standards.
