Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg/PCU

Location: Watertown, NY

Duration: 13 weeks (possibility of extension)

Shift: 12-hour nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call required

Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Radius: 60-mile rule applies

Pay Package: $43/hr on W2 $1080(Weekly non taxable stipend)

Weekly Gross: $2628

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in Watertown, NY, for a 13-week contract with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Med Surg and PCU, with specific experience in Coronary Care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
• Assess patient needs holistically, considering clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Adapt to floating between Med/Surg and PCU units as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, including implementation of proper lifting techniques.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities effectively.
• Assume duties as a charge nurse when required.

Requirements:

• Valid and current New York State RN license.
• Minimum of one successful traveler assignment.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Previous hospital RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
• Ability to function well in high-pressure situations with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
