Description

SUMMARY:

Under close supervision, performs entry-level duties as assigned in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery used in the BlueWater Resort & Casino facility; and performs related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains, repairs service and troubleshoot all aspects of the facilities systems under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, tools, and replacement items and assigned duties by Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure all casino streets and public access routes are free of hazards.
  • Ensure that the BlueWater Resort & Casino is presentable and inviting at all times, and that it adheres to both management and customer standards.
  • Ensure trash/debris is picked up from common areas and streets on a daily basis.
  • Provide legible written reports
  • Perform all duties with safety as priority.
  • Repair or replace plumbing, fixtures, washers, seals, etc.
  • Install window shades or coverings, security locks, etc.
  • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment.
  • Responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and repairs as necessary.
  • Complies with Federal, State and Tribal laws.
  • Works in a safe manner; complies with company and OSHA safety regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).

  • Operating various equipment related to assignment.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  • Skill in estimating time and materials.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, shifts or days as determined by business demands.
  • Ability to withstand dust, pollens and fumes on a regular basis.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a current driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Minimum 1 year of working in the trades preferred.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and grasping.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination is required
  • Must be able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Must have the ability to work outside in extreme heat and/or cold temperatures for a full 8-hour day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position regularly works indoors but may work outdoors in cold and/or extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne practices, including second-hand environmental smoke. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
