Field Superintendent

Job Summary

The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects in the field. This includes ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders. The Field Superintendent will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects in the field
• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders
• Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and other project documentation
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and other vendors
• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Provide regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders on project progress, issues, and risks
• Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during construction projects
• Ensure that all project documentation is complete and accurate
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial or residential construction
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Strong knowledge of wood frame multi-family construction required
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in construction management and office productivity software, including Excel, Work, Project, or other web-based project management software
• OSHA 30 or equivalent training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required

Work Environment

The Field Superintendent will work primarily in the field, on construction sites. This may involve exposure to various weather conditions, loud noises, and other hazards associated with construction work. The Field Superintendent may also be required to travel to various job sites, which may involve overnight stays.
