We specialize in servicing the building industry and consumers making purchases of household appliances with complete last-mile logistics facilitation. BlueJacket Logistics is headquartered in Sparks, NV, and is in a period of rapid growth and expansion, and will opening a Boise, ID location In October 2022.

We are a part of the BlueJacket family of companies that specialize in last-mile facilitation currently servicing the Northern Nevada, Northeastern California, and soon Boise, ID regions.

Job Description & Qualifications
Job Summary

• Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving, inventory, customer service, and/or order processing.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts and records inbound shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise. Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
• Record receiving data using computer.
• Store items in warehouse locations utilizing a clamp forklift or an order picker
• Identify incorrect/short-shipped items and immediately notify your supervisor.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to the designated area. Will predominantly operate dollies to start, but in the future forklift with a 4th function clamp or an order picker in order to complete tasks.
• Verify computations against a physical count of stock. Examine and inspect stock items for exterior package damage and potential unseen damage and cosmetic defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in the correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• May perform order layout (staging) and make changes to carriers or picking method. Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor. Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves a regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

• Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting, and operating controls on machinery such as a forklift or order picker

Does not require any overnight travel

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally, 3 to 5 years of experience in the area of responsibility, and extensive forklift experience are required. 4th function forklift (clamp or basiloid) experience highly desirable
