Technical Project Manager
Huntsville, ALBluehawk Consulting is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support our client, an aerospace leader. Our client is making space travel possible, and your work will directly support putting people, research, and products safely in space.
Project Overview
In this role, you will lead projects to make production quality gains for aerospace propulsion systems. The outcome being compliance and safe rate gains. You will develop schedule, tools and deliver the outcome for prioritize projects. You will prepare high quality reporting for leadership providing cost, schedule, and ROI metrics.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the team's operating cadence through communication to stakeholders, management of key performance indicators and project meetings to report key performance metrics (technical, cost, schedule, and risk).
  • Generate boards/tools necessary for project and product health to demonstrate results.
  • Performs scrum master role for product teams following agile development methods, including defining and executing team sprints.
  • Supports team representation in agile product planning sessions.
  • Define, monitor, and track all receivables and deliverable products for the program.
  • Work closely with internal and external manufacturing and test facilities to coordinate on-time delivery of hardware.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3 years in Aerospace, Automotive, Consumer, Defense, Industrial or similar industries, executing design or production of electrical assemblies.
  • 3 years of experience in technical program management managing Integrated Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware and Software Engineering Development projects, managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • 3 years working directly with supply chain or suppliers in the execution of design for manufacturability, build to print, modified off the shelf or subcontract management.
  • 5 years working directly with design engineering teams in bringing electrical products from concept to production.
  • Experienced at collecting and synthesizing information from multiple stakeholders and translating data into project requirements, scoping, and planning documents.
  • Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile, MS Project, P6 Primavera, or similar.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while regularly providing imaginative and detailed technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a Refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in technical program management managing complex Integrated Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware and Software Engineering Development projects, managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • 7 years working directly with design engineering teams in bringing electrical products from concept to production.
  • Familiarity with aerospace system design requirements such as propulsion, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, acoustics, electrical grounding/bonding.
Education
Required Education
  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (various), Business, Operations Management, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
Desired Education
  • Master's Degree in an Engineering field or an MBA.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
