ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN - TURBOMACHINERY

Bluehawk Consulting is seeking experienced Assembly Technicians specializing in the assembly of turbomachinery for rocket or jet engines.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in assembling complex machinery, with a focus on meeting stringent quality standards and delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assemble turbomachinery components for rocket or jet engines according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with component cleanliness requirements to meet aerospace standards.
• Proficiently read and interpret engineering blueprints to understand assembly requirements.
• Apply appropriate torque techniques to fasten components securely.
• Utilize aerospace lubricants as per specified requirements to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve any assembly-related issues or discrepancies.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries in the workplace.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in assembling turbomachinery for rocket or jet engines is essential.
• Strong understanding of component cleanliness requirements in aerospace applications.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Demonstrated ability to apply torque accurately and effectively.
• Familiarity with aerospace lubricants and their applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in assembly work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in gas or steam turbine assembly is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical assembly or related fields.
