Medical Doctor - Family Medicine

Our company is looking for a Family Practice physician to join our team to work with our esteemed clients.

Responsibilities:

•Examines patients to determine general physical and emotional condition.

•Functions independently as a primary care practitioner as part of a patient care team.

• Independently assesses acute and non-acute clinical problems.

•Provide telephone consultation and follow-up to support patients and their families. This requires the ability to recognize patient problems and symptoms, apply appropriate medical interventions and protocols, and interpret these to community physicians and health professionals involved in the care of the patient. 

•Establishes goals and strategies for meeting continuing care needs of patient, family and/or other care provider based on ongoing assessment. 

•Functions appropriately as part of care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills, both their own and those of other provider and staff.

•May be part of team conducting medical research to aid in controlling and curing disease, to investigate new medications, and to develop and test new medical techniques as necessary. 

•Analyzes reports and findings and diagnoses condition.

•Manage admission, transfer, and discharge orders. 

•Ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies. Ordering of appropriate medication and treatments.

•Refers patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.

•Records in the patient’s electronic record using established standards, in accordance with licensure and the scope of practice, physical findings and treatment rendered or anticipated, subsequent to a formulated plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.

•Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases.

•Recognizes situations which require the immediate attention and initiates life-saving procedures when necessary.

•Participates in clinical quality improvement initiatives, including peer reviews, and other tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in the delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.

•Assists Medical Director in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating all medical and ancillary services at the hospital/Clinic of responsibility. 

•Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards. 

•Maintains current standards of acceptable medical practice and participates in educational programs specific to patient care.

•Meets productivity standards and attends meetings and conferences, as directed.

•Participates in mandatory educational programs, in-service/training courses to maintain job competency skills. 

•Maintains effective communication and working relationships with Clinic/hospital personnel in the community.

•Performs all credentialed medical procedures according to standards.

•Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the continuous Quality Improvement Plan to identify improvement opportunities.

•Adheres to unit specific safety and infection control standards. 

•Respects the rights, privacy, and property of others at all times including the confidentiality of information, according to administrative policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

•Role models behaviors of service excellence and performs all other related job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

•Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

•Board certification in Internal/Family Practice Medicine.

•Valid medical license in the state in which the physician will practice.

•Valid DEA license and certificate

• Previous experience in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred.

•Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses.

•Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.

•Strong organizational, problem-solving, and researching skills.

•Proficiency with computers
