Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of DeLand is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Weekend Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As a Weekend Nurse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the delivery of quality patient care during the weekends. Your main focus will be ensuring that our healthcare facility operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care and attention
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration in providing comprehensive care to patients
• Manage daily staffing needs, including assigning nurses to specific units and adjusting staffing levels as needed
• Monitor the quality and timeliness of patient care, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed
• Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety
• Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs, address any concerns or issues, and provide guidance to nursing staff
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and therapists, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
• Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making and problem-solving

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license or licensed practical nurse (LPN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a nursing supervisory role
• In-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and standards of care
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional in high-stress situations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
