This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will push the boundaries of what’s possible in security management for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of security operations – physical security, threat management and investigations. This position will have matrix reporting to the Regional Security Manager and MSFC Test Stand 4670 Executive Management, and directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage and Lead Security Officer organization for assigned Blue Origin Site(s)
• In coordination with other Security Managers within Blue Origin:
  • Develop, maintain and implement enterprise level post orders for Security Officer positions
  • Develop, maintain, implement and track compliance for enterprise level Training standards for Security Officer positions
  • Identify preferred certifications and plan for implementation
• Identify, manage and implement post instructions specific to site or post
• Manage uniform budget and standards
• Must be able to maintain Human Resource requirements for all Security Officers
• Actively develop positive relationships with other Blue Origin Organizations to ensure the Security Officer organization is meeting enterprise needs
• Develop relationships with local law enforcement and emergency responders
• Respond to emergency situations (fire/medical/suspicious person/etc.)
• Complete ad hoc security support as directed by Blue Origin security leadership
• Must be willing to work flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) to assess, mentor and manage Security Officers
• Plan and coordinate transportation operations as required
• Manage enterprise Physical and Threat Management programs
• Conduct Security Risk Assessments as required and work through entire Risk Management Cycle requirements
• Responsible for Security technology integration (design, installation and management) - CCTV, Access Control, alarms and all other associated security technology

• Responsible for implementing site awareness, education and training as required, i.e. site implementation for enterprise policies and procedures: Workplace Violence Prevention and Response, Active Shooter, High Risk Termination Program management, Insider Threat Program management, Executive/VIP Protection management, Critical Incident Management and situational threat event analyses, Investigations – internal employee misconduct, criminal and threats matters

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or 10 years equivalent industry related experience, i.e. military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, corporate security
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Project Management and functional experience in Physical Security – guard force operations, security technology (access control/CCTV/alarms), and system designs.
• Project Management and functional experience in Threat Management – critical incident management, command post operations and technology, and threat assessments.
• Project Management and functional experience in Investigations – criminal (fraud, theft, etc.) and administrative (employee misconduct).
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
• History of critical incident handling experience
• Experience instructing security tactics, operations, and procedures
