Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding systems - Ensure all coding is in compliance with federal regulations and insurance guidelines - Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper submission - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary - Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any coding or billing discrepancies - Stay current with changes in medical coding and billing regulations Experience: - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding systems, and medical billing procedures - Familiarity with medical collection practices and procedures - Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) software and billing systems - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
