Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to the success of our healthcare facility.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Develop, implement, and enforce nursing policies and office procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Monitor patient care activities and ensure adherence to established standards of care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in complex patient care situations
- Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff to address concerns, provide feedback, and promote professional development
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and maintain confidentiality
- Oversee inventory management of vaccines, medical supplies and equipment
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices and technologies
- Perform regular nursing duties on a day-to-day basis
- Participate in OSHA & HIPAA related risk assessments and annual trainings
- Work directly with our EHR vendor regarding updates and support needs
Skills:
- Previous pediatric care experience preferred.
- Excellent leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong problem-solving skills to address complex patient care issues
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Valid nursing license in Illinois
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a registered nurse; Pediatric experience preferred
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role preferred
- Current CPR certification
Physical Requirements:
- Oftenrequired to move aboutinside the office.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time while on the job.
- Physical strength sufficient to handle routine office materials and tools including the ability to move a 25-pound object.
- Must be able to exchange information accurately and effectively.
- Must be able to operate computers and other office machinery.
