Position: Litigation Paralegal (Spanish Fluency Preferred)

Responsibilities:
As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and serving our clients. Here's what you'll be doing:
Case Management: Organize and manage case files with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all documents, evidence, and correspondence are properly filed and maintained.
Client Communication: Engage with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and ensure they have a clear understanding of the legal process.
Discovery Support: Facilitate the discovery process by drafting and responding to requests for documents and other tasks.
Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with the court, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and local court rules.
Client Intake: Assist with client intake procedures, including conducting initial interviews, collecting necessary information, and explaining legal processes.
Trial Preparation: Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and supporting attorneys during proceedings.
Communication with Opposing Counsel: Correspond with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to exchange information.
Case Management Systems: Utilize legal software (Smart Advocate) to track case progress, deadlines, and important details.
Client Updates: Keep clients informed about the status of their cases, including upcoming court dates, depositions, and any significant developments.
Attorney Assistance: Provide general legal support to attorneys, including preparation for meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Spanish Translation: Offer translation assistance to ensure clear communication with Spanish-speaking clients.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
5-7 years of paralegal experience in a law firm – REQUIRED
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Spanish fluency, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, a big plus
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
Familiarity with legal case management software, Smart Advocate is preferred
