Summary
The Cook provides cooking and food purchasing services for the Pastor and other residents and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and functions herein, are intended to be representative of the type of tasks performed within this classification.

CATHOLIC FAITH
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High School degree or equivalent. Successful work experience in meal preparation and completing a cleaning plan. Must provide own transportation for job-related responsibilities.
Organizes kitchen and areas of storage for kitchen pots and pans, and utensils, etc. Keep kitchen pantry clean and orderly.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Good organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Purchasing of foods and items for menus and recipes as well as minimal cleaning supplies, etc.
from grocery stores and supply institutions is necessary. Integrity with the use of bank and credit or debit cards is essential.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The working hours of this position are not limited to a 4- hour day. This person will need to be available in the evening and weekends as needed.
Must be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressure.
PHYSICAL and SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Tasks involve the ability to exert some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (30 pounds)
