Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. is Hiring a Territory Sales Manager - (Northeast Region) Near Lakewood, NJ

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) has a full-time Territory Sales Manager position, with an employee residing within a 250-mile radius of New England, NY, NJ, PA, DE and MD. The main territory for this role will be in the Northeast region of the United States and additional travel throughout the country when needed.

General Description

Under the direction of the VP of Sales Manager, the Sales Manager will provide their knowledge of the shotblast industry to build and maintain strong customer relationships (new and existing). This position is responsible for the talking with customers about BCT's ability to service customers in a variety of industries and what we are able to do to support their operations such as inspections, maintenance, service, repairs, rebuilds, and upgrades to all types of blast equipment. The Sales Manager will be responsible for BCT's customers in the Northeast region of the U.S. which includes New England, NY, NJ, PA, DE and MD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Manage territory's aggressive sales and service growth plan with focus on using numerous available resources.
  • Ability to travel 80 % of the week, mostly driving, including overnights (company vehicle provided).
  • Ability to work extremely flexible hours and weekends as required to meet the needs of the customers.
  • Lending technical expertise regarding shot blast equipment, equipment upgrades, service/inspection offerings from BCT, replacement parts, etc. to our customer base.
  • Ability to train and offer remote support to customers as required.
  • Self-manage assignments, daily activities, expense reports, time reports, field reports, and remote (off-site) meeting participation.
  • Provide follow-up reports on potential leads for new customers along with reports on service and inspections for existing customers.
  • Act as a liaison between the BCT Inside Sales team, engineering, project management, service team, and the electrical team as required.
  • Work closely with your territory service technician(s) and contractors.
  • Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, documentation, files, records, etc.
  • Helps drive and support BCT's Culture and Core Values

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work closely with your peer territory service technician(s) and contractors.
    • Thorough understanding of Manufacturing & Industrial Equipment. Shotblast knowledge is preferred.
    • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce required. Familiarity with utilizing an ERP system preferred.
    • Sense of urgency and ability to achieve results.

    Education and/or Experience

    • Requires bachelor's degree and five to seven years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
    • 4-6 years of outside sales experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, preferably in the shotblast industry or related industry.
    • Experience working with inside sales and service technicians on industrial manufacturing/shotblast abrasive equipment.

    This position requires regular driving.All prospective employees must have a valid, unexpired driver's license. will be required to undergo a physical evaluation. An "Unacceptable" driver is any driver whose Motor Vehicle Report includes any of the following violations (during the most recent 3 year period unless otherwise stated):

    • Felony involving the use of a motor vehicle.
    • Speeding 20 or more over the posted speed limit.
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DWI/DUI) in the last five years.
    • Driving with an open container.
    • Driving with a suspended or fraudulent license.
    • Reckless driving • Passing a stopped school bus.
    • Leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run).
    • Vehicular homicide/manslaughter.
    • Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.
    • Eluding a police officer.
    • Drag racing.
    • Operating a motor vehicle without the owner's permission (grand theft auto).
    • Permitting an unlicensed or intoxicated driver to drive.
    • 3 or more moving violations in the last 3 years. This includes:
      • Speeding less than 20 mph above the speed limit.
      • Operating while registration is suspended.
      • Failure to yield right-of-way.
      • Careless or inattentive driving (including texting or cell phone use).
      • Running a red light or stop sign.
      • Improper or excessive lane changes.
    • 2 or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the last year.
