General Description

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Manufacturing Fulfillment Manager will oversee the day-to-day workflow of material movement between all manufacturing work centers. They will also be managing all aspects of shipping large equipment orders including arranging transportation, preparing shipping documents, and tracking shipments from origin to destination. This individual must be highly organized, communicative, collaborative, and detailed-oriented to be successful.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and process necessary documentation including quotes, bills of lading, shipping manifests, customs documentation, and other required paperwork.
• Pick, pull and route the appropriate materials or components per work orders, customer orders, or by sales order line item and deliver to designated work sites, shipping areas, other locations, or manufacturing.
• Lead material flow throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Interfaces and communicates with internal customers, transportation providers, and logistics services.
• Works closely with assembly team during equipment shipments to rig, load, and document each assembly/sub-assembly on manifest.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all shipments, tracking numbers, delivery confirmations, photos, etc.
• Review manufacturing work orders, locate, and move materials/inventory to meet internal customer needs, and authorize the processing of the order as needed.
• Serve as a link between the shipping department and manufacturing floor, alerting necessary parties when any material stock is running low or out.
• Ensures safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials to and from the storage areas of the facility.
• Organizes and coordinates activities and staff schedules, ensuring fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
• Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modify materials handling processes and procedures.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. • 5 years of shipping/receiving or job-related experience; or a related combination of education and experience.
• Lean Manufacturing Experience a plus.
