The Leisure Sales Associate is accountable for fulfilling daily operations of the reservations department for Blackberry Farm, LLC properties reservation calls, internet reservations, information and email requests, special projects and assisting the department and property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Accepts and enters all phone/e-mail requests for reservations in a professional and timely manner
• Sets traces, enters and communicates special requests to the rest of the property
• Responds to all internal and external emails in a timely manner
• Understands the history of Blackberry Farm, LLC properties, all activities offered and all other components of the guest experience
• Sells and reserves all gift certificates and track them according to policy for Blackberry Farm, LLC properties
• Learns all rates, special events rates, standard offerings, travel agent rates, blackout dates and minimum night stays
• Learns and follow all Blackberry Farm, LLC policies for each reservation
• Checks all reservations daily to ensure accuracy with traces, remarks and deposits
• Assists the Reservations Supervisor with reports, commission payment and daily tasks as assigned
• Enters accurate demographic information into database for marketing and direct mail projects
• Monitors website content to ensure accurate information is posted on all sites
• Ensures guest requests are fulfilled and expectations are met or exceeded

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.

To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and consistent attendance is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• College degree preferred but not required
• 1-2 years’ experience in sales and/or customer service
• Excellent telephone skills, typing proficiency, computer experience and strong organizational skills required
• Experience in Property Management Systems a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic mathematical skills and understanding of reporting, statistics and budgets

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time, work extensively on the computer and phone while multi-tasking to complete daily responsibilities
• 95% computer and phone work
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
