Black Owl Recruiting is currently seeking an Entry Level Associate and an Associate with 3 years of experience to join our client's patent and intellectual property litigation practice. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on rewarding, interesting, and challenging litigation matters in the field of intellectual property. Candidates with a technical background, preferably in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a trial team to handle patent and intellectual property litigation cases.
• Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and develop effective strategies for litigation.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Engage in discovery activities, including document review and analysis.
• Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel and clients.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on patent and intellectual property matters.
• Stay updated on developments in patent and intellectual property law.

Requirements: Entry-Level Associate:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong academic credentials, reflecting a commitment to excellence.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and develop litigation skills.

Associate with 3 years of experience:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent and intellectual property litigation.
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong academic credentials, reflecting a commitment to excellence.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of litigation.

Compensation: $200K - $315K annually (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $315,000.00 per year
