Black Owl Recruiting is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Pediatrics Supervisor position in (Mill Basin) Brooklyn, NY, for a highly reputable client. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced and knowledgeable for overseeing the nursing staff in a healthcare facility. The Nursing Supervisor will provide leadership, develop quality assurance programs, and ensure the facility is meeting regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will also provide guidance and support to the nursing staff to ensure a high level of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the nursing staff and provide support and guidance as needed
• Paid mileage is available, as candidate may need to go in the field periodically to evaluate RNs
• Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure the facility is meeting all regulatory standards
• Monitor and evaluate performance of the nursing team and provide feedback as needed
• Oversee the recruitment and hiring of nursing team
• Establish goals, objectives, and standards of performance
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing care
• Monitor and update schedules to ensure adequate coverage
• Ensure the staff is adequately trained and provide ongoing education opportunities
• Handle patient complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Job Requirements

• Must have a mandatory 2 years of Pediatrics experience.
• 2 years of Home Health experience is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Five years of experience in a nursing role, with two years of supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transport is required.
