About PayOnward:
PayOnward has created a cloud native digital payments suite that allows community based financial institutions to directly participate in the emerging digital commercial payments market for their business customers and retail digital payments through a single AI driven universal payment hub. PayOnward has designed a better way to process payments at a lower cost to optimize cash flow and allow community-based institutions to compete and win. PayOnward was created to provide more advanced digital payment tools for community based financial institutions so they can recapture their role as the center of commerce for their community. PayOnward will bring the Community Based Financial Institutions (CBFIs) back to the center of eCommerce for their communities.
Who we are looking for:
BDC is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated, detail oriented professional to join our growing team as President of PayOnward. As a key member of the team, this individual will be an integral member of a growing team of hard-working and experienced professionals. The candidate will work closely with our CEO and other key management. The ideal candidate will have been a former President in the FinTech industry with a strong sales and marketing background, in payment processing system sales. You need to be able to look at the big picture with an entrepreneurial mindset, as well as have high energy and high-performance track record. The candidate will have a strong operational background of managing the leadership function of a financial technology-based company and experience working with professional investors (VC/PE) and related expectations. BDC is an operationally led firm and culture that applies our unique operational knowledge into how we operate the firm and manage our investments. What sets us apart is that the same entrepreneurial spirit and energy that made us successful in an operational role should translate to building a different kind of investment firm.
What you will be working on:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively collaborate with the BDC CEO and Board of Directors to set annual business goals, promote the best interests of PayOnward, and continue to develop the PayOnward vision.
- Lead PayOnward in a way that exemplifies fiduciary and governance best practices. Put simply, you’ll always do the right thing for PayOnward, its team members and its customer.
- Set and achieve organizational goals and P&L financial objectives while providing financial checks and balances. Overseeing operating plan, budget, cash flow, and company finances.
- Build and lead an effective and cohesive executive management team to include all company employees, while establishing a basic personnel policy, initiating and monitoring policies relating to personnel actions and training and professional development programs.
- Ensure company objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by management and employees.
- Ensure company complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, best practices.
- Establish, achieve, and report on financials and milestones to BDC CEO and Board of Directors.
- Develop short/long term company and product roadmap.
- Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with a strong financial technology operating background who has experience dealing with venture capital and/or private equity and their expectations. Should have experience in technology and SAP business models.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance required.
- MBA preferred.
- Prior experience in sales and/or leadership efforts in a startup company preferably with a financial services and technology background.
- Experience as a senior leader in a Software / SaaS company with cloud solutions and recurring revenues in a role such as CEO, CRO, VP of Sales and Marketing
- Understanding of the Payments ecosystem, the latest API technology and the latest service, cloud-based payments solutions & deployments
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work strategically, but also hands-on problem solving.
- Track record of building innovative, creative, and collaborative teams.
- Strong desire to lead from a strategic and tactical perspective in all aspects of day-to-day company operations.
- Venture capital and Private Equity experience/background.
- Investor relations and investor presentations.
