BARTENDER - LITTLE RITUALS
Little Rituals in Phoenix, AZ is looking for a bartender to join our team. We are located on 132 S Central Ave 4th Floor, Residence Inn/Courtyard By Marriott. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and engaged. We are an independently owned and operated bar, not affiliated with Marriott.
Little Rituals is an award-winning bar recently named a finalist for best U.S. Hotel Bar two years in a row (2022 & 2023), as well as a semifinalist for the 2020 James Beard Awards.
We practice team service, and our bartenders do so much more than just bartend--they must also be prepared to serve, prep and perform other duties from time to time.
This is a position in a career track--not a summer job. We do not hire bartenders looking to supplement their primary day job or as an after-school job.
Wage range includes tips. This is primarily a tipped position.
Qualifications
- 3 years of proven working experience as a bartender at a high-end cocktail focused venue.
- Must have knowledge of classic cocktails, there will be a test at the interview.
- Bar Smarts certified or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- A deep passion for hospitality
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant food and alcohol training certificates
- Desire to pursue continuing education in spirits, beer & wine
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails with modern techniques and attention to detail
- Plan and present drinks for bar menu when asked
- Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Maintain a clean work station during and after service
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
