Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Specialist with expertise in both project buying and supplier development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in strategic sourcing, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers to drive business growth and innovation.

Responsibilities :

1. Project Purchasing:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop sourcing strategies to meet project timelines and budgetary constraints.

· Complete purchase requests with sister companies and external suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions for the respective plant

· Maintain accuracy of stock code information within PLEX ERP system, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc

· Manage the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, analyze proposals, and make recommendations for supplier selection.

· Monitor supplier performance, ensure on-time delivery of materials and services, and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the project lifecycle.

· Continuously optimize purchasing processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

2. Supplier Development:

· Identify opportunities for supplier development and improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reliability, and innovation.

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration to drive mutual success.

· Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.

· Conduct supplier assessments and audits to evaluate performance, capabilities, and adherence to quality standards and contractual requirements.

· Work closely with suppliers to implement corrective actions and process improvements, driving continuous quality and efficiency enhancements.

· Provide guidance and support to suppliers to help them meet our company's standards and expectations.

Qualifications :

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience

· Proven experience in strategic sourcing, project purchasing, and supplier development, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

· Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.

· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

· Proficiency in using sourcing tools and software (e.g., ERP systems, eSourcing platforms).

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
