Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Specialist with expertise in both project buying and supplier development to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in strategic sourcing, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers to drive business growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

Project Purchasing :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop sourcing strategies to meet project timelines and budgetary constraints.

Complete purchase requests with sister companies and external suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions for the respective plant

Maintain accuracy of stock code information within PLEX ERP system, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc

Manage the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, analyze proposals, and make recommendations for supplier selection.

Monitor supplier performance, ensure on-time delivery of materials and services, and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Continuously optimize purchasing processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Supplier Development :

Identify opportunities for supplier development and improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reliability, and innovation.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration to drive mutual success.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.

Conduct supplier assessments and audits to evaluate performance, capabilities, and adherence to quality standards and contractual requirements.

Provide guidance and support to suppliers to help them meet our company's standards and expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience

Proven experience in strategic sourcing, project purchasing, and supplier development, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Proficiency in using sourcing tools and software (e.g., ERP systems, eSourcing platforms).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
