Job Description:

As a Medical Assistant in our Functional Medicine Doctor's office, you will play a crucial role in supporting both patients and healthcare providers in delivering comprehensive and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical assisting, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to promoting holistic health.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Greet and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
• Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, explaining procedures when necessary.
• Administrative Support:
• Manage patient appointments, maintain accurate scheduling, and assist with patient inquiries.
• Handle medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Coordinate laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Clinical Assistance:
• Assist the doctor during patient consultations and procedures as needed.
• Administer medications, injections, and other treatments under the direction of the healthcare provider.
• Perform routine phlebotomy and administer IV hydration.

• Health Promotion and Education:
• Educate patients on services and procedures offered.
• Provide resources and support for patients to actively participate in their wellness journey.
• Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the practice to ensure seamless patient care.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Previous experience in a medical office, preferably in functional medicine or integrative healthcare.
• Knowledge of functional medicine principles and holistic health practices.
• Proficient in medical terminology, basic pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
