The European headquarters is based in Abingdon, UK with a manufacturing facility in Bristol and subsidiaries in Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager for the Protein Sciences Segment Bio-Techne EMEA. The role will be responsible for expanding market penetration of key instruments and reagents. Responsibilities will include development and execution of high-growth go-to-market campaigns, demand generation programs and building awareness of all Bio-Techne product lines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the life science research market along with exceptional skills in marketing and market development.

Essential Functions

  • Design, build and execute high-impact go-to-market (GTM) campaigns and programs to drive revenue growth in key customer segments.
  • Formulate and implement marketing strategies, executing programs to boost brand awareness and demand generation.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic multi-channel integrated marketing plans to acquire and convert new customers and engage, retain, and grow existing customers.
  • You will be the regional market expert, and work with the market development team to provide in-depth knowledge of market trends and dynamics, competitive landscape, and critical market success factors.
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners (Product Management, Brand, Marcom & Market Development Managers) to ensure alignment of marketing plans for new products and on-market products and improvements.
  • Collaborate with product management and scientific applications teams to create and promote high-value content including testimonials, seminars, webinars, posters, and sales tools for new and existing products.
  • Develop relevant content across the marketing funnel; deploy via multiple channels that align with customer journeys.
  • Maintain campaign/program KPI and metrics dashboards, regularly reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activities. Adjust tactics as needed to maximize performance.
  • Manage marketing budgets and optimize the promotional mix on campaigns/programs to achieve a high return on investment.
  • Support the development and delivery of new product launch toolkits that provide impactful new product messaging and education to our commercial teams, including product training, positioning, key messaging, and customer facing materials.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • PhD in Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline
  • Marketing qualification preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in the life sciences industry
  • At least 3 years in a product marketing function
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary – Travel up to 25%

  • Able to develop and communicate the unique value and promise that Bio-Techne products offer to life science research customers
  • Able to understand, integrate and synthesize insights across customers, competitors, business areas and markets to inform customer-centric campaigns for our product portfolio
  • Able to develop and execute multi-channel customer-centric marketing programs to achieve business objectives
  • Experience in developing successful lead generation initiatives using multi-channel strategies to drive funnel fulfilment
